Mr Pritchard has personal experience with elite sport, having played hockey himself at national level and his wife Bianca as an Australian representative.
On completion of his orthopaedic training, Mr Pritchard gained the inaugural post graduate fellowship in Hip and Shoulder arthroscopy.
He has continued to improve advanced arthroscopic techniques to diagnose and treat disorders of the hip and has developed imaging techniques used in complex high performance revision situations.
Having relocated from Melbourne to Hobart with his wife Bianca and four children to enjoy work and lifestyle, he commutes to Melbourne to consult and operate on a regular basis. Mr Pritchard has rapidly increased the number of elite athletes travelling to either Melbourne or Hobart from around Australia and overseas for arthroscopic treatment of the hip. He has presented nationally and internationally on the subject of Hip Arthroscopy.
Mr Pritchard maintains a keen interest in many sporting endeavors and understands the goals of elite athletes. He has since taken up road cycling, and enjoys leisure activities such as motor sport, water skiing, sailing and fishing.
